100 years of RAMS. 2025 is the year of the Centennial Anniversary of the Russian Association of International Cooperation

The Russian Association for International Cooperation (RAMS) is ready to take an active part in restoring interstate cooperation with European countries. This was stated by RAMS Secretary General Vladimir Polozkov during a press conference at TASS dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the association.

“Work in Europe is not easy at the moment; thousands of people in Russia and abroad are making efforts to help restore the institutions that have now been destroyed,” he noted.

Polozkov recalled that 100 years ago, in 1925, friendship societies “became the basis for the restoration of state institutions and state relations.” “I am confident that RAMS will take active action in this direction,” he summed up.

RAMS is a public organization working on the international track, which has developed from the All-Union Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries (VOKS), through the Union of Soviet Societies for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries (SSOD), to the Russian Association of International Cooperation, created in 1992 by decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
